Hello, I’m Katy, a thirty-something twin mum and I have been writing my blog in one form or another for over fifteen years. Myself, my husband and our twin girls, Edie and Mabel live in Durham, in the North East countryside where we’re slowly restoring the farmhouse we now live in.

In 2016 I received what I thought was the biggest shock of my life, I found out I was pregnant. It wasn’t something we’d been planning or had on the cards but it slowly started to sink in and just when I started to think ‘I can do this!’ I received the actual biggest shock of my entire life… there wasn’t one baby, there were two!

So as a coping mechanism, I started writing about the highs and lows of my journey to multiple motherhood. I found the internet and world in general to be quite a negative place when it came to multiple pregnancies and I struggled to find the information I really wanted and needed.

Having been through it all, I can honestly say, it’s not that bad. You can read more about why I created Crap, I’m a Mum here or check out Edie and Mabel’s birth story here.

Over the years I’ve been writing online, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing brands. If you’d like to collaborate then please get in touch either by dropping me an email or popping me a tweet.
